Flooding a floor with a "self leveler" isn't always the answer to getting your concrete slab in spec for your floor covering. I have been on many jobs where flooding only made the problem worst as self levelers can actually follow the contour of the slab creating even higher high spots! Not all projects have the time or the finish height allotment to allow for flooding if the slab is really out of spec!
Solution? A combination of taking down the highs and filling(usually the perimeter) the lows becomes a more effective and cost savings solution to getting the slab to within the necessary tolerances.
Unlike the traditional bush-hammer on a demolition hammer, drum shavers or planetary equipment which can require a high degree of skill and are relatively slow and inaccurate, WerkMaster machine bush-hammers lock onto the high spot on your slab with the contacting plates and remove just enough material to flatten a floor.
Once the high spot is brought down, the bush-hammers become considerably less aggressive as they are no longer trying to bring the floor down to the level around it, indicating the high spot has been taken down enough when compared to the surrounding floor.
WerkMaster machines are design to plane and flatten a floor unlike traditional planetary design machines which contour to the floors ups and downs(waves). The advantage of the square design is two fold as it also allows for the machine to get into corners and does not require additional work with a smaller hand grinder.
The bush hammer tools chip the floor vs grinding it. Chipping a floor creates less dust and removes a larger quantity in less time when compared to grinding.
